At least 13 have been injured as massive explosion erupts from gas station in Russia
In the early hours of Monday, August 10, a massive explosion ripped through a gas station in the south western part of Russia, causing a major shockwave and injuring no fewer than 13 people.
Including a firefighter who suffered degrees of burns, 4 other firefighters were thrown to the ground by the shockwave alongside several others passing the scene.
According to reports, the incident began at about 12:40 pm on Monday when emergency services were contacted for a fire outbreak at a gas station along along a busy road in Volgograd.
Over 60 firefighters responded to the incident with robots also deployed to reach some parts to avoid risking the firefighters.
