On Thursday, reality tv star and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian returned to the White House, where she discussed her passion project – criminal justice reform – and announced a new partnership with Lyft, a ride-sharing service, to benefit former prisoners.

Everyone wants the community to be safe, and the more opportunity we have and that they have and the support that we help give them, the safer everyone will be,” Kim said.

Kim was instrumental in the clemency granted to Alice Marie Johnson, who was serving life sentence for her involvement in drug trafficking in 2018, and since then, she’s helped commute or vacate the sentences of dozens of prisoners.

She’s currently studying to become a lawyer, so she can do more.
