Geoffrey Onyeama Reacts To Attack On Nigerian Embassy In Indonesia

Nigerian minister of foreign affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama has reacted to the attack on Nigerian Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia by Nigerians.

He said that every effort will be made to identify the Nigerians hooligans who attacked the embassy.

Nigerians living in the country had on Thursday June 25, staged a protest against the alleged discrimination and targeted raids by Indonesian immigration officers which led to the attack on the embassy.

They accused the Nigerian officials of not protecting them from the alleged injustice meted on them by Indonesian immigration officers.

The protest was carried out after a Nigerian man died while running from Immigration officers in Indonesia.

The Nigerian man who was identified as Chike died after falling from the window of his 27-floor Gading Nias apartment in Kelapa Garden Central Jakarta.

He was rushed to the hospital by other Nigerians who reside in the apartment but he later died due to complications from the fall.
