Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole caused some laughter among voters at his polling unit in Iyamho as he made a sign of the cross before casting his vote.

Oshiomhole who is a major supporter of the candidate of his party, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, casted his vote alone as his wife, Lara was obviously missing.

People are now asking what does Oshiomhole who bears Aliyu in his name got to do with sign of the cross basically meant for Catholics.

I had to conduct a little check and found out that truly, Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole was born on 4 April 1952 at Iyamho, near Auchi in Edo State as a Muslim.

But later converted to Christianity by his late wife Clara who died of cancer aged 54 who was Catholic.

In a video making rounds online, it shows the hilarious moment Oshiomhole made the sign in the presence of INEC officials.
