DELSU Final Year Law Student Drowns In Hotel Swimming Pool Two Weeks To Graduation

A final year law student of Delta State University (DELSU) has drowned in a hotel swimming pool two weeks to his graduation.

The final year law student of Delta State University Oleh Campus has been identified as Tenumah Jeffery Omatseyi.

He died at Graceland Hotel in Irri, Isoko South Local Government Area Of Delta state on November 6th 2020.

It was gathered that the deceased was found in the hotel’s pool area with blood stains all over his body.

The spokesperson of the Delta state police command, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, who confirmed the incident on Monday, November 9, said that the student was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed death by a doctor.

Confirming the incident as well, the Student Union President of DELSU demanded for an investigation into the death of their colleague, adding that statements made by the hotel management and the police are conflicting.

The deceased who hails from Warri in Delta state is said to be set to graduate in two weeks time.
